About Kismet

Salaam All!

The word “Kismet” means fate, or destiny, in multiple languages including English, Turkish, Bosnian, Urdu, Farsi, Arabic, and more! I chose this name due to the unfortunate passing of my 19-year old brother this past August. Although his passing was sad, I believe that it was his energy that gave me the idea to start this brand.

The Kismet Reserve is a brand that not only sells vintage and pre-owned jewelry, but aims to give customers their “forever pieces”, the pieces that they’ll hand down to their future children. There’s nothing more special than finding your “signature” piece in a sustainable fashion as well! In a world filled with fast fashion and constant trend cycles, The Kismet Reserve aims to romanticize life’s little luxuries and promote sustainability through secondhand fashion.

As a South-Asian and Muslim owned brand, I hope to pave the way and inspire others of my demographic to break cultural stigmas and make our dreams come true through our passion projects.
